pricey Rev. Graham: Why do individuals scoff at the thought of Jesus Christ coming to Earth the 2nd time? — S.C.
pricey S.C.: The Bible says that there could be scoffers within the ultimate days — people who refuse to believe that Jesus Christ will return to Earth as the King of kings. They disbelieve this truth simply as they disbelieve Jesus' loss of life, burial, and resurrection. They scoff at the fact that Jesus shed His blood to cover mankind's sin.The motive they scoff is found in 2 Peter three:3: "Scoffers will are available the last days, going for walks in accordance with their personal lusts." They do not need to are living for God. They're interested in pleasurable their own pleasure. Many say they doubt the Bible but once they probe their hearts they admit that they don't need their existence disturbed. they would rather feed on issues that attraction to the flesh.here's nothing new. whereas the Bible tells the realm to anticipate Jesus' return, unbelievers proclaim that the promise turned into made from the beginning; yet He hasn't seemed, so that they scoff an d "willfully forget" (2 Peter three:5). americans fail to bear in mind that God flooded the earth in judgment of man's sin but set a rainbow in the sky as His promise that the earth would under no circumstances flood once again — and it hasn't!The Bible declares: "do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord in the future is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as in the future. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise … however is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that every one may still come to repentance" (2 Peter three:eight-9).Christ delays His coming in order that many greater will obtain His salvation. best a loving God who wants to spare souls from eternal judgment can be so patient with mankind.—————(This column is according to the phrases and writings of the late Rev.
