Story of the Bible, Act 7: Resurrection

The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is at the coronary heart of the Christian religion.

Mark sixteen.6 tells us that once the damaged-hearted ladies went to the tomb after the crucifixion, an angel instructed them: 'he isn't here – he has been raised!' (GNB).

The Romans, the Jewish leaders and the mob had all executed their worst. Jesus had suffered essentially the most humiliating and painful death commonly used in precedent days. however in elevating Jesus from the lifeless, God had shown that his vigour became better even than loss of life. He had proven that everything Jesus had talked about about himself became authentic. The Romans desired to make Jesus into a sign of horror, an object lesson in what came about when somebody broke the suggestions. God made him into a sign of hope.

In doing that, he offered hope for all and sundry. probably the most most powerful challenges of the resurrection was to the conception that the realm belonged to the wealthy, effective and a success individuals. No, God says: it belongs to those that humbly believe and believe in Jesus. So, someone who's terrible, sick or insignificant within the eyes of the realm is cherished and honoured by God greater than kings and emperors.

As Paul says in his awesome passage on resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15, 'Thanks be to God who offers us the victory via our Lord Jesus Christ!' (verse 57, GNB).
