Did Jesus definitely train Zen?

in the mid-90s, I published a book known as The Zen Teachings of Jesus. those of you who have been introduced up as Christians within the U.S. can also no longer be in a position to immediately relate Jesus with Zen. however I have at all times found this passage of the Sermon on the Mount crammed with great splendor and Zen knowledge.

"seem to be at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor accumulate into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you no longer of greater value than they? Which of you by using caring can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about apparel? agree with the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory become now not arrayed like one of these. … for this reason do not fret, announcing, 'What lets devour?' or 'What lets drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' … on your heavenly Father knows that you want all this stuff. hence don't worry about the next day, for the following day will fret about its personal issues. enough for the day is its own obstacle."

I have referred to as this passage "the nature Sermon." It bears no resemblance to how a Christian preacher would preach. Jesus just let nature exhibit us the style. He taught via no longer teaching. The emphasis is not on any supernatural vigor or particular divine intervention. quite, it is on the have faith within the wisdom of nature. here is Jesus's Zen at its most desirable. The message is additionally rational, no longer irrational or mystical. Verily, who can increase his lot with the aid of being concerned? The good thing to do is to relax and not be troubled about the things out of 1's control. simply focus on the current and do the belongings you are capable of doing. That approach you aren't squandering precious power unproductively.

here is a fine instance of Jesus's Zen and Taoist educating. It radiates natural grace.
