Why did KJ mention Jesus Christ?

LETTER | At a panel dialogue recently, Khairy Jamaluddin made reference to a "Jesus Christ mentality" with reference to the ego of the Pakatan Harapan executive which resulted in the failure to ratify the Icerd covenant. i am not entering into the noticeable discussion on Icerd here but would want to make some feedback on the illustration used via Khairy and its implications, whether he realises them or now not.

Making a flippant comment on Jesus Christ is offensive to Christians chiefly when it is used in the incorrect and terrible method. think about if I made a similar reference to the founding father of Islam. I don't consider Khairy will should be concerned if what he talked about will trigger a rebellion and protests from the Malaysian Christian group. The query is why did he make the reference to Jesus Christ?

He might have spoken of ego and the over-optimism of Pakatan Harapan. but why bring Jesus Christ into this political dialogue? Khairy could have made the equal aspect regardless of Jesus. was this only a passing concept as an illustration or a sinister remark to equate Harapan as seasoned-Christian? simplest Khairy will be aware of.

however, now that Jesus Christ is in the public domain, let me state that Christians, peculiarly Bible-believing ones, realize that what Khary spoke of contradicts Christian educating and the well-known figuring out of who Jesus Christ is. I have to confess that i am a disciple of Jesus Christ and my views also come from a faith adventure.

Jesus Christ did operate many miracles like curative and supernatural manifestations which can be dismissed in the rational world. These encompass the Gospel narrative of Jesus walking on water on the ocean of Galilee. It became Peter, his disciple, who on seeing Christ, tried to stroll but all started to sink. although, as he kept his eye on Jesus he, too, walked. there's in fact an adventure of God's supernatural curative and works of miracles skilled through so many that it could be problematic to brush aside as false.

Jesus Christ is the anti-thesis of ego as he gave himself up. for this reason, even if it changed into Khairy or the media involved who highlighted this dimension wants some clarification.

This example of ways a founder of a huge spiritual move is used by a baby-kisser after which the media to popularise the concept illustrates the need for all Malaysians as a whole to have a higher knowing of religions and their founders. It will be first rate to view the faith from the shoes of the believers with a purpose to have an appreciation as to why so many individuals dedicate their lives and the way their daily dwelling is impressed with the aid of the teachings of their founders.

Political leaders and journalists need to be cautious when references are made so as no longer to deliver a distorted portrayal and negative connotation. We live in a multi-non secular society. respect and appreciation are most important. but on the concern of Icerd and why Harapan modified its determination is a remember for a further dialogue.
