Jesus is mercy, not judgment

We take careful notice of how He, who is Mercy incarnate, acts during this situation. he's aware about the shamed and guilty girl who has no defence. he is mindful that His enemies are attempting to trap Him out. So He starts writing on the ground. Some have tried to guess at what He wrote. became he listing the sins of the woman's accusers? We aren't instructed. reasonably the gesture itself speaks to us sufficiently.
The Lord Jesus is unperturbed at the intrusion of pitiless self-righteousness. or not it's as if the Lord, bored by means of their hubris, all started doodling on the ground. We do not know what He wrote on the floor but we understand what He pointed out: "If there is one in all you who has now not sinned let him be the primary to throw a stone at her" (John eight:7-eight).
The Lord Jesus writes merciful love devoid of end upon the scarred, bleeding and wounded floor of our human existence. He who is aware of neatly the inmost hearts of the condemned woman's accusers, He who knew all their sins starting with the oldest, doesn't shame even them.
On the floor, where there would have fallen a rain of jagged rocks upon a bad girl, on the ground that could have been stained along with her blood, there is, as an alternative, the gentle hand of the Saviour writing.
God's response to the disgrace of our sins is not condemnation and extreme judgement but soft mercy which removes disgrace and restores misplaced dignity.
Most mainly, we see His mild compassion in what He says to the shamed woman: "girl, where are they? Has no person condemned you? … Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no greater" (John 8:10-eleven).
It is this compassionate and merciful forgiveness that you just and i must reproduce. We should reproduction it - writing it upon the very earth. Mercy wins.
